Daniel Lerma joined Upward Architects in 2018 as a job captain and has over 15 years of design experience and construction document production for retail, office, restaurant, and religious projects.

Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Daniel moved to Tucson after joining the Air Force where he was involved in land mobile radio operations; after which, Daniel utilized his electronics background to earn an associate’s degree in Drafting and CAD Technology at the High Tech Institute.

Drawing consistency across all projects, planning submittals, and preparing construction documents are part of Daniel’s primary role.

Outside of the office, Daniel enjoys going target shooting, woodworking, and spending time with his daughter.

Daniel knows how to fix a cracked screen on an iPhone and has fixed over 50 phones for his friends and family.
